Thanksgiving is the quintessential American holiday. The day before is the busiest travel day of the year in the US as everyone wants to be 'home for the holidays'. It is of course not a holiday that I grew up with, but any occasion to think about all that I have and enjoy is also time to think about those who do not.I've recently knit a square for the Schuyler Blanket Project and another for women recovering from fistula surgery in Uganda. Both were knit from stash yarn - Louisa Harding Kashmir Aran - the one above is about 11 inches square, with some random reverse stocking stitch ridges.
