No kidding! I've been doing the beaded edging on my shawl (I'm only beading the edging as opposed to the entire shawl that the pattern is written for), and I'm coming up on a row that has 10 beads per every 38 stitch repeat...and 29 repeats across the shawl (plus the edges). So, 290 someodd beads across a 1100+ stitch row. THAT'S gonna take me a while.
